AutoPrada - Mobile West

I never wrote a review for this place but I got a new stereo put into a car from 94'. They came recommended by a friend. I see a few reviews on here about bad customer service and I had the complete opposite experience. They were low pressure, friendly despite being very busy, and got my car in and out within a few hours. They also printed out info for recommended mechanics and other services who all turned out to be incredible.

I've had the worst experience possible dealing with this establishment. I have been trying to get $1500 back from them for work that they never performed. I payed for the installation of a car stereo that never happened due to their inefficiency and owner/management issues. I have been trying to get my money back from them for months now. I'm going to have to sue them for my money. Please be careful and cautious when dealing with this establishment and the people working there. They have been irresponsive to my calls asking for my money back. I am completely frustrated with this situation and wanted to share this so that it doesn't happen to anyone else....

They totally screwed up. I was quoted a 60-90 minute install on speakers I brought in. I sit and wait. 2 hours later it's only '20 more minutes' after I track someone down. An hour later, I check on my car, nobody is working on it but it 'just got finished'. They installed the speakers in the rear instead of the front. They said they weren't the right kind for the front, and that the only reason why my dying front speakers sound bad is because of the EQ tuning. The speakers have been dying for over a year, it ain't the EQ. Nobody spoke to me about this. We emailed and I said I was having my front speakers replaced. Nobody communicated to me during or before the install. They let me sit for 3 hours, installed incorrectly, and never said a word about the wait or the install until after I had to personally grab someone to ask. Having to now wait even longer while they take everything out and replace it back to the way it was. Absolutely wasted my day. Hopefully the speakers can be returned. A single check in, 'hey these don't fit the front, is that what you wanted?' is all they needed to do. Awful service.

Waited a year to review and I'm super pleased with my experience at mobile West. There were a couple of kinks to work out and once resolved, the speaker system has been excellent quality. Be patient with the folks working there and trust me they will make sure you are satisfied. Peter is a great guy.

Did a shoddy job reinstalling panels, expensive ($150/hr labor) & poorly organized. After a few tries and back & forth visits, it all works, though. Would not recommend to a friend but probably fine in a pinch. Edit: one month later the system installed has broken, no longer accessing front speakers and blew out my ears with a random loud shrieking noise when trying to adjust the settings.

So, my guy's store was lost due to recent ice storm. And I really like my alarm system and stereo. So, the thought of starting over frightened me, but I researched, dealt with a couple of folks interested only in upselling me to 'their' systems, contacted my mechanic friends, attempted the manual myself, and went with friend recommendations. I met Peter and was instantly swayed by a guy who knows his business. The boss man working the front desk, knee deep in paperwork while engaging his team. No hard sell, but he did get me in for an appointment. I came in and Josh the tech fixed me up and out the door I went, even though my equipment wasn't theirs. But what they got? The absolute best in the business, Peter has done several installs for me and continues to go above and beyond each time. Mobile wests dedication to customer service is bar none. This is the only place I will ever take any of my vehicles !!!! Would have rated 10 stars

Peter set me up with a sub and amp and hooked up my stereo for my 1994 Range Rover in less than a day! He made the process so easy and very happy with the results. Will absolutely be back for any future stereo, alarm system needs in the future.
