Cincy Security and Sound

Aftermarket audio and security isn't great. The products at Cincy Security and Sound aren't great. Auto-start on my 2013 Honda Pilot is super glitchy, and occasionally drains the battery. The new Apple Car Play head unit on my GMC Sierra HD is dull looking, glitchy, and loses bluetooth connection regularly. And the "sound proofing" door product is a complete scam. Hundreds of dollars and the sound dampening flat out didn't work and what's worse is both driver's side and passenger side windows no longer work due to the weird fabric melting inside the door frame, not only wasting the huge cost of the product and installation fee, but requiring the door to be disassembled professionally to remove the melted mess. Reached out for a refund, was compensated for about 20% of my investment on the driver's side door, but that's it. The product failed, and the experience has been miserable. Find another options, these guys don't stand behind their work, but will quickly take your money.

I began researching aftermarket audio solutions months before purchasing my 2024 BMW X7. Given the vehicle’s sophisticated electronics and integrated technology, I wanted to be extremely cautious about any modifications that could negatively impact the overall system. Since the vehicle was brand new, finding a reputable, MECP-certified audio shop was a top priority. After weeks of research, I came across Cincy Security & Sound and scheduled a visit. There, I met Cody, who immediately became excited about the project. Hearing the enthusiasm in his voice was reassuring—it was clear that he viewed this not as a difficult installation, but as an opportunity to build something exceptional. Equally important, he never attempted to upsell me. In fact, he recommended approaching the project in phases, focusing first on the areas that would provide the greatest improvement: amplification, DSP tuning, and the subwoofer. It was refreshing to work with someone whose primary objective was solving problems and improving the listening experience rather than simply maximizing the sale. As time went on, my plans evolved, and I ultimately decided to take a “buy once, cry once” approach. I wanted to consolidate the work into a single installation to minimize downtime and ensure everything was done correctly the first time. As is often the case with high-end vehicles, the execution phase presented its share of challenges. The X7’s third-row seating, factory wiring architecture, and numerous integrated BMW subsystems made the installation significantly more complex than a typical audio upgrade. Compounding those challenges, Cody unexpectedly encountered a personal matter during the project. Despite that, he communicated proactively, reached out as soon as possible, explained the situation, and provided an updated timeline along with contingency plans. Throughout the process, he remained transparent, professional, and committed to delivering on his promises. In the end, he put service before self, dedicating numerous late nights to ensure the project was completed as promised. The results speak for themselves. Cody’s attention to detail is second to none, and his expertise in digital signal processing and system tuning is evident from the moment the music starts playing. The sound quality, imaging, clarity, and overall listening experience exceeded my expectations. I am incredibly glad I trusted Cincy Security & Sound with my X7 and would not hesitate to recommend Cody and his team to anyone seeking a truly high-end automotive audio installation.

Cody and team are amazing. Took on my Toyota LC250 and created magic within some pretty strange parameters given the OE wiring and interior. Cody generously took this project on after some discussion and did an amazing job with the install and tuning. Class act. A+++

Had a great experience dealing with Jason to upgrade my 10-year-old Subaru Forester to install a custom state-of-art GPS system give the car new life. They answered questions and discussed different options available and helped me narrow down to a seamless flush-mounted large GPS display that replaced the factory audio system, provided access to multiple blue-tooth apps, and gave a much larger backup camera view. I'd definitely use them in the future!

I know the review is a two star, but the good of the place is that they're very attentive to answering calls, very thorough on answering questions and explaining the work they do and what they're putting in, and very friendly. The only reason I put it as low as I did is due to multiple quotes I received from them. Came in with a budget, told them the budget, and they couldn't come anywhere close to it without "sacrificing what you want". Entirely understandable, but most of the items quoted were not what I wanted as they were past the level I wanted to upgrade it to. Great system they were trying to sell, just wasn't going for something that expensive. I spoke with Big Papa's Car Audio in Silverton the next day and they told me firstly that the quote was outrageous, and that they could do something very similar without going that high in price. Secondly they added that they were going for more of a high end system (which I wasn't asking for) and that they could do something extremely similar for over a thousand less. Just had it installed today and couldn't be happier, it's exactly what I want and still very quality equipment. Not saying this company is bad, at all, but just not very willing to work with budget quotes.

Cannot speak highly enough about the customer service experience I had with Cincy Security And Sound! Jason and Cody are true professionals and are incredible at what they do! I was in a situation trying to find a solution for my Head unit in my 2020 Honda Civic SI and they came through in the clutch! Thorough with all of the work they did as well as the communication throughout the entire process! Anyone I know who needs car audio work done will be sent this way! Truly a five star company! Just had a new head unit, woofers, and satellite radio installed for my son as a Christmas gift in his 2014 Mazda Miata. What stands out for me is the communication I had with Cody. Instead of just providing some very high estimates (like I received from others), Cody asked questions to get to why my son wanted to upgrade, and exactly what he wanted out of it. The look and the sound of the upgraded system is fantastic and my son couldn't be happier.

Had Cody and team install a remote start system in my 2021 Camry XSE. Turn around time was impressive. Knowledge speaks for their work. They know their stuff. Would recommend and come back in the future for more work.

Highly recommend! Owner is very knowledgeable and honest. I was able to have our stereo repaired and added a small upgrade, price was very fair.

CSS installed under seat woofers and tuned my existing DSP amp. I could tell immediately listening to it with Cody it was a massive improvement. He was able to get the full, rich, accurate sound I’d been wanting and he knocked it out of the park. Now I hear all the instruments, vocals and nuances in the music as I’m sure they were intended. The new woofers definitely add bass I can hear and feel but Cody has it all balanced to sound just so good. Would give more than 5 stars if I could. Can’t recommend Cody and CSS enough.
