Summary
AI Generated from Google reviewsThe business receives overwhelmingly positive reviews. Customers frequently praise Matt and Lisa for patient, honest advice that skips upselling and for clean installs that look factory. Reviewers highlight high-end custom work with DSP tuning and sound deadening, plus fixes on BMWs, Volvos and other vehicles that other Detroit-area shops turned away. Several mention the shop returned to fix configuration problems without complaint. Complaints are rare; the few critical reviews mention a deposit dispute over a missed appointment time, short staffing and the phone sometimes going unanswered, and the owners reply to almost every review.

Bought a car external CD player several years ago here. Got new car. Different port. Couldn't find one to run CD player in new car. I was ready to buy a new one. They figured it out. !!!!! :)

I visited this shop after a friend had a powered, down-firing kicker installed. It hit hard without taking up too much space and the install was clean. I had always been nervous about letting someone “hack into my car” for a sub but when I noticed their install warranty, I took the leap. I’m so glad I did. I’m in my car a lot and it is such an huge improvement. Quality work and a deep commitment to customer service are clearly at the heart of this business. Every step of the way and with every question, they have been so helpful. Matt and Lisa are the best.

We bought an older Toyota Sequoia and wanted to upgrade it to have some modern features. Lisa and Matt were wonderful in talking us through options and making recommendations so we could have both Apple CarPlay and a backup camera. The price and customer service were both excellent. We would come back for future needs in a heart beat.

From initial call to installation I had top notch service at Premier Car Audio. I had to make a second visit to sort out some configuration issues but they patiently made it right even though it took several hours. Do not hesitate to use their services. Lisa, Matt, Elliot - Thank you so much for your patience and friendly attitude.

I have had Premiere Audio do three separate jobs for me on my 2025 Ford Explorer. I will call myself a highly satisfied returning customer. PREFACE: I am a retired automotive professional electrical engineer having served thirty years in the automotive and eleven in the aerospace industry. Further, about 25 years automotive were in development of platform electrical distribution architectures. Just before retirement I was honored to serve on the Ford team developing the all new autonomous vehicle electrical architecture. So, with all that experience you would think that I could tell you about the infotainment subsystems and their relationship to each other. Not so. My knowledge is from a loads perspective. I learned much talking with Matt about my installations. I also queried them about the mode of placing wires before selecting them to do my work. I was very much relieved when Matt explained to me the method that they do wire splices which is (as an automotive wiring engineer) absolutely the optimal way to do it. It takes time and therefore a lot of these shops will just give you something that works for a few months sliding on a blade connector. That is important stuff! FIRST JOB--Dashcam: In an earlier car of mine I installed a very nice BlackVue dashcam that served me nicely for years EXCEPT that I had wires dangling everywhere and the thing would drain the car’s battery if left unattended more than three days. I also had some dangling wires for literally years that I had to tell passengers to be aware of. For this Explorer car of mine I wanted it done right and in a hurry having taken newly possession of the car. I took it to Matt choosing Premier Audio based on the reviews I saw at Google Maps. I had Matt do a truly professional installation (competitively priced). He drew power from the vehicle PDB to power the BlackVue battery that powered the dashcam. All the wires were expertly hidden and the entire dashcam system was pretty much out of sight and certainly not blocking any portion of the road view. SECOND JOB: The second installation was a start/stop memory module that remembers whether the start stop was active or inactive when you shut the motor off. When you start the motor again, it remembers the last setting eliminating the need for you to deactivate all the time. It has worked flawlessly for many months. THIRD JOB--Today: Today I have returned to have them do a very special wire installation. I have an Amateur Radio (N8QM) personal “proof of concept” configuration set up in my car. The transceiver body is in the back over the spare tire. There is a dedicated battery next to the transmitter with a DC-DC converter to charge the battery. Then there is a wire-bundle that runs from the back of the cabin to the front for two speakers, a microphone, and the control face. Also, I had Premier install a coaxial cable for the antenna that runs from the engine to the transmitter and receiver in the back. I have been operating the car so defined for a month to work out the bugs. But passengers had to fend for themselves trying to not trip on the wires. UNFORSEEN HITCH TO THE THIRD JOB: I drove away from Premiere Audio with a nicely functioning amateur radio, able to talk on the various Washtenaw County VHF and UHF amateur repeaters from my car. BUT… my car’s infotainment system was now inop! Making a long story short, I bought my car used earlier this year having 11,000 miles and the previous owner apparently was a “Saturday Mechanic.” Matt was able to find (elsewhere nearby in the car) a wiring harness that was clearly messed with electrically by an amateur. As a wiring harness professional myself, I immediately recognized the home-brew nature of the harness that Matt found. Without any doubt, the defective harness was nudged during Matt’s latest installation such that it caused the harness to lose a connection. I can say that it took superlative technical expertise to track down the nature of the failure. CONCLUSION: The work was fast, enduring after months of use and competitively priced.

Talked with Matt about a straightforward sub install for my Outback. He made it super easy. When I asked about more power and a double sub, he didn't upsell me. That shows professional integrity. The installation was fast and very clean. Pro-level work. Love the bass thumping outta the back of my Subie.

These guys are great. My audio system felt lackluster and knew I was wanted to upgrade. I was able to walk in and discuss several different options, looking at different price points based on what I was comfortable with. Install went smoothly and very happy with the outcome. You get great customer service and care when you come to this place.

This small business makes a BIG difference! They were quickly, efficiently and more cost-effectively able to address a problem with my vehicle, where a few other businesses were left scratching their heads. If you want it done right, take your vehicle here!!!!
